Week 4 - After School Gardening Club
The weather was fair today for our 4th After School Gardening Club. We took the opportunity to do some tidying up outside. We made good use of our recently purchased 'litter pickers' and cleaned around the whole of our school grounds. We even tidied up along the side of the road. We are so pleased to say that there was very little litter in our school grounds, apart from some wrappers which had blown in from the road. Everyone was very keen to help and should be proud of their efforts. Mr Mills helped us to transfer some of the compost from our compost bins into our raised beds. We then dug some of the rich compost into the soil. It looks great and we hope that it will help our plants and vegetables to grow really well. The seeds we planted in the poly tunnel a few weeks ago are really coming on well. We are enjoying watching them grow. A massive thank-you to the first group who have worked so hard in their four week block of After School Gardening. You have achieved a lot.
