Roots of Empathy Theme 6 - Safety
Today Maureen came in to school to work with us on our 6th Theme. We are learning all about staying safe and keeping little ones safe at home. We looked at lots of different objects that we might have at home, which could be dangerous in the hands of a baby or small child. We also looked at some pictures or symbols that warn us of dangers or hazards. Together we thought about where we might see some of these symbols, eg. on bottles or containers at home. We discussed the importance of keeping these safely out of the reach of little hands and eyes. Next week baby Leah and Mrs Loane will be coming in to school and we will be able to ask Mrs Loane about ways she keeps Leah safe at home. We will also talk about milestones that Leah has reached so far. We are really looking forward to seeing Leah again and watching how she has grown or developed since her last visit.
