Roots of Empathy in Primary 3 and 4 - 25th October, 2017
This afternoon we had our post family visit Roots of Empathy session in class with Darren. During the lesson we were able to talk about all the different things we observed when baby Ella came to visit last week. We looked at our predictions and thought about how accurate or inaccurate they were. Darren read us a story called, 'How are you peeling?' In the story we saw many different types of fruit and vegetables depicting various emotions and feelings. We were able to talk about how we feel and discuss different situations which make us feel in different ways. We talked about how to control our feelings and what we can do when we feel sad or angry etc. We loved looking at the pictures in the book and we are inspired to make our own feelings fruit and vegetables in class tomorrow. Keep in touch with our school website for some interesting feelings friends. We are really enjoying our Roots of Empathy work.
