Roots of Empathy - Baby Leah Visits P3 and P4
This morning we had a very special visitor in Mrs Moore's class. Baby Leah came in to school as part of our Roots of Empathy Programme. We were able to watch Leah interact with our class and the toys that Maureen brought for her to play with. We noticed that Leah is getting bigger and stronger. She is almost able to sit up by herself, without any help. She took more interest in the toys that the boys and girls showed her today. Mrs Loane told us about developments that she has noticed over the past number of weeks. Leah has discovered her tongue and we were able to see her stick it out today and make bubble noises with her mouth. We sand some songs to Leah today and she really enjoyed our singing. We sang 'How Life Has Changed' and 'Baby's Hands.' Today we had two student nurses join us for our Roots of Empathy session. We hope they enjoyed their time with us. We just love to see baby Leah coming into our class and we are learning so much about our own feelings through the Roots of Empathy Programme.
