Roots of Empathy - Baby Grayson's 2nd Visit
The boys and girls in Primary 3 welcomed baby Grayson to their class on Friday afternoon. We had a super family visit and had lots of opportunities to observe how Grayson is developing and growing. We watched as he took a real interest in the toys that Darren produced and Grayson loved to hear our singing. During the previous week we had been thinking about how we feel at different times and we considered what makes a baby cry and how we can soothe a crying baby. We also thought about what makes us upset and how others can help us to feel better. Darren showed us a clip of Grayson crying after he had got some injections recently. We all felt sad because Grayson was crying and he seemed to be in pain. We were all very happy to see a happy and contented baby Grayson when he visited with us on Friday. He enjoyed it when some of the boys and girls got to sit or lie beside him on the green blanket. Grayson is definitely more alert than the last time he visited our class. We told Grayson's Mummy that we will soon be writing our Santa letters and we will ask Santa to deliver some presents to Grayson on this his first Christmas.
