Roots of Empathy - 1st visit from our little teacher, Baby Ella.
On Friday we welcomed our little teacher, baby Ella into our class for the very first time. She was a super star! The boys and girls in Mrs Moore's class were able to closely observe her movements and reactions as we sang to her and Darren introduced her to some of the Roots of Empathy toys and books. We had made predictions about how long she would be and her size in comparison to our Roots of Empathy doll. Ella is so much bigger than Charlie and when Malcolm lay down beside her, we measured that he was over twice Ella's length. We really enjoyed our first baby visit and look forward to learning more throughout the year. It is going to be a super year, learning from our little teacher. Already we have learnt that Ella is a very calm baby, with a quiet temperament. She is very contented and was happy to lie on her back. She was not as happy to lie on her tummy. Thank-you to Ella and her mummy for coming in to school and Darren for facilitating the programme.
