It looks like P3 and P4 boys and girls made bird food and feeders just at the right time for we had a good fall of snow last night and this morning it must be hard for our feathered friends to find food to eat. Before lunch time today, we checked on the activity that was taking place already at the bird feeders we hung out on Tuesday at lunch time. We are pleased to say that there has been a lot of feeding going on. The small birds are loving the fat cakes that we made for them. We were able to notice that many of the feeders had much less food in them and we could even see some marks that had been made by bird beaks. We will continue to keep an eye on the feeders and might have to top up the food again soon. We have started to notice a lot more small birds in our school grounds already too. We have seen a starling, a black bird and a chaffinch so far. We hope to keep a record of the birds that we see over the next few weeks.
