Mrs Loane led our school assembly this week and we had a great discussion about staying safe on the internet this morning. Mrs Loane shared a powerpoint with everyone, outlining SMART behaviour when using the world wide web. We looked at some of the dangers associated with using ipads, computers, tablets, mobile phones and other devices. We all were able to share our own experiences and learn from other people too. Next week in school we will be looking at internet safety in even more detail. A member from the community policing team will be in school to talk to the boys and girls. It is always useful to be reminded of the dangers out there in the cyber world. As Article 28 reminds us, 'Every child has the right to an Education' and Article 17 teaches us that 'Every child has the right to reliable information from the media.'
