Final Week of After School Gardening Club For Group 2
We were blessed with great heat and sunshine this afternoon for After School Gardening Club. It was the fourth and final week for our second group of budding gardeners. Thank-you to all those boys and girls who have volunteered. Your help has been great. We have achieved a lot together. This afternoon we made some more paper bricks and also managed to transplant some carrots and parsley into the raised beds. We also planted some onion bulbs. There was lots of weeding and watering and some litter picking. The raised beds are starting to fill up and we can see lots of growth in the green house and in pots around school as well. Watch out for some sunflowers over the coming months. If they are anything like our previous efforts they will be mighty tall. In the coming weeks, all classes will have the opportunity to plant and grow in school. It is great to get outside and enjoy planting and growing. Thanks again to all our willing helpers. We hope some of you will be able to come in over the summer to weed and water our garden.
