Maureen came out to visit the P3 and 4 boys and girls today to talk about all the different feelings and emotions we observed in baby Leah on Friday when she came in to school. Maureen brought a different doll for us to nurse as we discussed our ideas and opinions. We had a lovely time together and Maureen taught us different techniques which help control our emotions. eg. when we feel angry we can breathe deeply in through our nose and out through our mouth, holding our middle finger until we can feel a pulse. Also when we feel frightened we can do the same, holding our pointing finger instead. As a special Christmas treat Maureen brought us all some lovely rice krispie buns that she had made for us and we gave Maureen a special card that we had made for her. We look forward to exploring more themes with Maureen and baby Leah in 2017 through our Roots of Empathy Programme.
