Energy Saving Week - Whole School Assembly
Just before half term we had a visit from Jill Eagleson from the Mid Ulster Destrict Council. She brought to us the message of recycling and re-using as well as reducing the amount of waste we produce. Jill encouraged us all to use the correct bins and reminded us of exactly where to put various items that we might need to throw away. Jill did not leave empty handed, as we sent her back to the council offices with a boot full of batteries and ink cartridges. She loves coming out to school to see what we are doing and is always impressed with how well we recycle different things. Keep up the good work. Please keep an eye out for our Eco-Schools Board in school. Several competitions coming up soon for Primary 6 and 7 boys and girls, including Mid ulster Eco-Speak. Also look out for posters and recent homework activities completed as part fo Eco-Schools work.
