This afternoon we welcomed Catherine Dynes from Mid Ulster District Council to school. She spoke to the boys and girls from P4 to P7 about litter and waste management. After the talk we split into groups and went across to the Eco Park to carry out a litter pick as part of our Eco Schools work and as part of the month of April Big Spring Clean. The boys and girls from P2 and P3 carried out their own litter pick in school. Everyone worked very hard and we feel proud of the job that we did in keeping our own school and wider community clean and tidy. It was good to see that there was very little litter in the Eco Park and also very little around our school grounds. Maybe some of us will be inspired to do some spring cleaning at home now too! Article 24 of the UNCRC reminds us of the importance to have clean environments to live in.
