Aughnacloy PS hosted their first hockey tournament on Monday 13th June. We welcomed teams from Augher PS and Churchhill PS. Mrs Porter invited Laura McDermott, Active Clubs Officer from Ulster Hockey, to our tournament. The morning kicked off with Laura running through a warm up and doing some dribbling drills with all of the children.
Thankfully the sun made an appearance and we had a lovely, warm, dry day. The standard of hockey played was excellent and plenty of goals were scored! A huge thank you must be said to Mrs Wallace, Rhianna, Chloe, Rachel and Joshua for updating the scoreboard, serving oranges and for a yummy lunch!
The overall winners of the Girls' Tournament were Aughnacloy PS and the Boys' Tournament winners were Churchhill PS. Winning teams were presented with our new, annual tournament shields and all participants received medals. Well done to everyone involved!!
