What are the Governors’ responsibilities?

The Governors are ultimately responsible for the overall management of the school. They are required to meet for a minimum of 3 times each year, but in practice they meet more than this.
Some of their duties include

•   The oversight of the curriculum

•   The control of the school budget

•   Providing parents with information

•   The selection of staff

•   Maintenance of school premises (a shared responsibility with the Southern

  Education & Library Board)

•   The Admissions Policy

•   Fostering links with the local community and pursuing objectives of mutual

  understanding
