Roots of Empathy - Baby Ella comes to visit - March 2018

25th Mar 2018

This week in Roots of Empathy, Ella joined us for our lesson. We were able to observe many changes and developments since the last time she visited us in school. Ella has reached some milestones, including having her first tooth come through. She is also able to roll over now and she can almost sit up unaided. We noticed that Ella has become extremely alert and likes to sit up and observe what is going on around her. Ella's mummy says that she is 'nosey' and likes to watch her brother and sister at home too. She is used to lots of noise and really enjoyed our singing today. We think she particularly liked it when we sang 'If you're happy and you know it!' especially when we clapped our hands. We heard Ella babble a little bit today too. She is starting to make lots of little noises as she begins to communicate like those around her. Ella was interested in the toys Darren gave her today. Previously she hadn't been too interested in them, but this week she wanted to play with them and used two hands to reach and get the plastic balls. We enjoy our Roots of Empathy lessons, especially when Ella and her mummy come in to visit.
